Tropical Canine Collars products are made using Biothane which is waterproof, mud proof and bacteria resistant but extremely durable. Although Biothane is very durable, it isn't chewing puppy teeth proof! So if you are the owner of a puppy that is teething, you may need to monitor their behaviour when this product is being used.

The products are perfect for adventurous dogs that like to swim and roll in mud. If they get dirty, just a quick rinse in fresh water will leave your collar or leash looking like new.

After swimming in salt water, thoroughly rinse with fresh water to stop the metal elements from tarnishing. 

Please also be aware that over time the coating on black buckles / rivets may wear off with use revealing the nickel underneath.
